Community & Workshops Coordinator (Intern)

Internship · Dhaka office

A calendar, a map pin and a chat thread on a platform — events, venues and the people coming to them.

About the role

Scaledex is going to teach founders and builders in Dhaka how to use AI and build systems with it — online and on site, with a budgeted AI-token allowance for every registered participant and guest speakers who share what they have built. The programme needs an organiser who is good with people and with lists.

You will make it run: every registered participant gets their token allocation, their questions answered, and a seat in a room that was booked, set up and photographed — and the next cohort hears about it. It is a three-to-six-month internship with a stipend and a real path to a full-time role in Programmes if the programme grows, which is the plan.

What you will do

  • Registrations and participant communications: the form, the confirmation, the reminders, the questions on WhatsApp, email and social.
  • Token allocations: track each participant’s budget against the programme ledger and flag what runs low.
  • Venues: scout, shortlist, negotiate, book; on the day, seating, power, connectivity, signage, photos.
  • Guest speakers: outreach, scheduling, briefing, thank-yous.
  • Awareness: publish the social posts from the designer’s templates; collect feedback after each session and write the one-page recap.

What we look for

Required

  • Organised and reliable; writes clear Bangla and English; comfortable on the phone and in direct messages with strangers.
  • Spreadsheets and calendars as second nature; can follow a design template without breaking it.
  • Curious about AI — you will attend every session.

Useful

  • Event or student-club organising, a Dhaka venue network, basic photography, Canva or Figma.

Not for

  • A social-media-only role. Half the work is logistics and people, on site, sometimes on a Saturday.

How we assess

  1. Apply with the form: a one-page plan for a 30-person Saturday workshop with budget lines, your reply to a stranded participant, and three real venues. About 20 minutes plus the plan.
  2. A reply within five working days, yes or no, with a reason.
  3. One conversation of 30–45 minutes, and a reference from someone you organised something with.
  4. An offer within a week.

What we offer

  • A monthly stipend agreed at offer for three to six months, every workshop attended, mentoring from the founder, and a full-time role in Programmes if the programme grows.

How to apply

Use the application form. It saves as you go, and you get a reference and a confirmation by email the moment it is in.
